After a tough loss last night against Caldwell in a game that was decided by a Penalty Kick given following a highly controversial call from the assistant referee; we now travel to Emmett to face off against Middleton. The 3rd place game is Saturday at 1:00 in Emmett and the winner will earn a spot at the State Tournament. 

A win today will send us to the Districts Championship Game and also guarantee us a spot in the State Tournament. Come out and support your Falcons!

After a tough season last year, the Varsity Boys Soccer team really stepped up and were able to finish the season 10-4-1 (9-4-1 in 4A SIC play) and placing Second in our conference! Well done guys! Our JV has also secured a spot in the District Tournament this Saturday in Middleton (10/7). Come out and support your Falcons as they look to extend their season and end on a high note! GO FALCONS!

Congrats JV on making it to Districts! We will be leaving from the school Saturday Morning (10/07) at 7:20am to head to Middleton. I will be posting another update with the bracket hopefully tomorrow once I have that info. 

Just another reminder that our home games have been pushed forward because of the sun going down earlier. JV game is at 4:00 and Varsity is at 5:30. All parents (especially those of the seniors) please be there at 5:00 so that we can be prepared to celebrate and honor our seniors.

Keeping a clean sheet was the goal, and we were able to achieve that in dominant fashion, controlling the pace of play and maintaining possession for a majority of the game. We stayed solid defensively and did not allow many opportunities for BK so score. Goals were scored by Hector Arreola and Ivan Guido

Now we look forward to carrying this momentum into our game today vs. Ridgevue. Come and support your Falcons as we fight for the #1 spot in conference!

Also keeping a clean sheet, the JV team performed well and got the job done. As the development squad, there are several players who have been playing up from JV to Varsity each game as Effort and Improvement are taken into account. We have huge depth in talent throughout the team and the ability to switch players around is an added benefit some teams might envy.

The VHS Boys Soccer Team was tested yesterday evening as they faced off against a tough Middleton team, but were able to come out on top, improving their record to 7-1 overall (6-1 SIC). Goals by Hector Arreola and Fernando Ponce gave us an early lead in the first half 2-0, but Middleton battled back to square things up at 2-2 in the second half. Late in the second half, Vallivue was able to find the break they needed with a Penalty Kick that was nestled into the left side netting by Luis Monjaras. The one goal lead would be enough to win the match 3-2! JV won their march as well, improving their record to 5-1-2 on the season. 

Varsity now improves to 6-1 (5-1 in SIC)

Varsity has now improved to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in SIC Conference Play

Games have been rescheduled for Saturday 9/9 at 2:00 (JV) and 4:00 (Varsity) at Emmett High School. The bus will leave VHS at 12:00. 

Good result to now move us to 4-1-0 (3-1-0 in 4A SIC)

 After an impressive start to the season, we suffered our first loss at Ridgevue. We are confident we can compete with any team in our conference and are continuing to move forward and improve as a team. 

It was a well fought game by both teams, but Ivan Guido's goal late in the second half was enough to beak the 2-2 tie and give us the win. The guys (both JV and Varsity) gave it everything they had and we were able to come out with a result in our first home game. 

We are starting off on the right foot, but we know there is a lot that we still need to work on this season. The Mentality, Focus, and Effort were in the right place tonight. We just need to show up each game and match/increase the level.

My name is Christian Adamson and I am the new Boys Varsity Head Coach. I have been coaching on and off for the past 6 years. I just recently graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a BA in Rec. Sports Management/Athletic Training. I was fortunate to compete on their Men's Soccer team all 4 years. I am very exited for what this season has to offer and look forward to meeting everyone! 

We are already halfway through July, so I hope everyone has been getting prepared for the upcoming season (conditioning and ball work). 

Skills Training/Ball-work, July 24, 26, & 27 (MWR) 7:00-8:30pm, @VHS soccer fields. (*Recommended, not a requirement for VHS boys soccer program)

Conditioning Camp, July 31-August 4, 7-8:30pm, @VHS track.  (*Recommended, not a requirement for VHS boys soccer program) *Bring a good supply of water as estimated temperatures will be in the 100s this week

Tryouts, August 7,8,&9th (MTW), 6-8am & 7-9pm @ VHS soccer fields (Required paperwork, Sports Physicals, and Player/Parent Contract) I will be posting this information for those who do not already have it.
