(All open Fields will be from 6-7:30pm @ VHS Soccer)

Weight Training Program

JULY 5th, July 10th, July 12th, July 17th, July 19th, July 24th, July 26th 2018

(Remember these open fields are not mandatory and  DO NOT affect team placement or playing time. BUT what they will do is prepare you for TRYOUTS.)

You're required to bring; running shoes, soccer shoes, shin guards, a ball, water, sun screen, and bug spray.

Mandatory “ImPact” testing is required for all athletes. All incoming freshman will have opportunity when season starts, this testing takes place at the high school.

Starting May 14th all current athletes must take ImPact test either during 7th period or after school, see Mrs. Tyler Athletic Trainer to schedule.

{COI Showcase camp}

College of Idaho will be hosting the soccer camp. Camp dates are July 19-22, camp player cost $250. Any athlete that sell/renew a Banner sponsorship, that fundraise money will help go to cost of camp.

Team Deposit due May 15 of $900

All athletes who wish to participate in high school sports must have these items completed;

sports physical (freshman, Juniors, New Incoming Students)

Morning sessions begin at 7-8am and Afternoon Sessions begin at 4:30-6:50pm.

At the start of Tryouts you're being evaluated on all aspects of these sessions; Attitude, promptness, hustle, ready to play, fitness, teamwork, skills. Set the tone early.

You are REQUIRED to be at BOTH sessions. Be on time to both session and treat this just like a practice with all of you're gear; (Running shoes, cleats, shin guards, water, sun screen and bug spray.)

*Note* No Club attire can be worn to practice. We want to keep a neutral zone*

Air Quality will be monitored, in the event air quality is at a “Orange” level we will practice inside schools gymnasium.

The first Wednesday of February, has traditionally been the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding National letter of intent for a collegiate sport. Vallivue soccer team wants to congratulate Alyssa Goff and her parents. Alyssa was among other VHS students at the ceremony of signings. She will be attending College of Idaho. We wish her and other senior soccer players all the best attending/seeking college.

Girl soccer parent meeting at VHS 6:30pm in Cafeteria. Coach Martz, Patton & Sanchez will be attending. Team manager Maria Rivera will introduce Shawna Watson as she will step up as manager for the following year. As the season progresses it’s the changing of the guard, needing new volunteers to replace the existing team. 

Our philosophy has been, any parent who has a senior will not hold any post as we want them to enjoy their daughters last year.

We will discuss fundraising, tryouts, sports physicals, concussion testing etc......

Of course player are included in the meeting to meet the coaches and if they have any questions to ask.

VHS lost 6-2 to BK, last years state champions. 3-2 Score at halftime, BK with lead. Falcons may have lost the game but not the spirit. Saturday game will be for 3rd place. 1pm at Brothers Park. Come out to support the girls. Your Varsity Girls soccer team making new strides for the program.

On Wednesday, May 16th Vallivue Coach Martz and a members of the high school girls soccer team will be answering questions and holding signups at Vallivue middle school. Information will be readily available about the upcoming summer sessions and parent meeting time&place. The awards keep piling up, after the Varsity Girls soccer team finished 3rd place at the 4A Sate tournament. The All State Players were selected by Idaho High School Coaches Association. A complied list of names throughout the state. We want to congratulate our school, as two of your Varslity players were selected in the Girls programs. Senior Abigail Bufford and Junior Lizzy Gonzalez. What a successful season this has been. The girls soccer program has reached a level success, i’m not sure that feat has been duplicated. The 3rd place game against Skyview was a game  to be remembered. So let’s congratulate Abigail and Lizzy. hip hip horray!

First day of tryouts will be August 6th, 2018. More information to follow. Those students enrolling at Vallivue high school and are interested in playing girls soccer stayed tuned. We will be at VMS for signups and have information for you. VHS students interested playing soccer, we will schedule a lunch meeting. 

A parent/player meeting will be scheduled in future, this will be a mandatory meeting. We will discuss important information of the upcoming season. Calendar, sport physicals and summer practice schedule.

Vallivue girls soccer had a successful fundraising year and ABS funds to help supply new training equipment.

Soccer balls, practice bibs, dribbling goggles, agility poles, Skliz net, kickback nets, A flat back training bungee cords sets that have numerous built in training aids; resistance running,  and goalie resistance cords. and back line formation aid.

Vallivue Varsity Girls soccer team travel to Skyview high school for the second round of the District tournament. Last Monday Vallivue defeated Ridgevue 5-1 @ Vallivue ( Lizzy Gonzalez 3 goal, Abi Bufford 1 goal 1 assit, Casimira Thomas 1 goal, Hailee Mize 11 saves) in first game of tournament.

2nd round action today,  winner moves on to District Championship game. And automatic bid to state tournament. Game at 5pm @ Skyview high school. Let's hear some noise.

Come out and support your high school for Seniors night game vs. Caldwell high school. A combined senior night game held at COI soccer field, game at 5:30pm. Festivities at 5:10pm. Lets honor Carla Cazares, Andie Toscan, Alyssa Goff and Abi Bufford. Also Caldwell has 7 seniors celebrating along with us. JV play 4pm. ASB card holders get in free of charge, all others $6 at the gate. Canyon Optimist Youth soccer players are admitted in free of charge, must wear their jerseys, parents to pay. History in the making!

Great job lady falcons beating Ridgevue last night, way to push through the heat and pull through with a 7-1 victory!!!

Coach Martz will hold Girls soccer signups for those wanting to play soccer next season. Information will be handed out during that time. On May 8th, Tuesday during lunch time, near the auditorium main doors located in cafeteria.

Congratulations to the Vallivue Girls Varstiy Team, finished 3rd. Beat Skyview 5-0 in the 2017 Idaho State Tournament. Ends a 13 year drought for the program. Skyview beat 3 times this years, 7-0, 4-2, and 2-1 OT(Districts Semi). But this team shutout a strong offensive team. So many heros. to list, so here goes. Congratulations to the Varsity Soccer team for their 4-3 victory over Twin Falls. A classic back and forth battle over a team that placed 3rd in 2016 State tournament. History says Vallivue Girls soccer program hasn't played the the State Tournament since 2004. What fan support from all over to root the local team playing at Brothers park in Caldwell. Up next, Oct. 20, 2pm Vallivue vs. BK. Winner moves on to the championship game. I want to thank the Vallivue students for the wonderful sendoff. The encouragement was appreciated form the team. Congratulations to our Varsity Girls Soccer team. Third place finish @ Districts Tournament over Caldwell High school(4-1win) last Saturday. After the heartbreak loss to Skyview. An opponent that won both games during league play(7-0 & 4-2) played Skyview to a 1-1 draw during regulation. Skyview an offensive that scores an average of 5 goals a game to loss 2-1 in OT. Rebounded in the elimination rounds with victories over Middleton & Caldwell to concluded the tournament with a 3rd place finish. And a State Tournament entrant. Our first game will be Twin Falls 2pm @ Brothers Park in Caldwell.

With the 2-0 win over Middleton, it propelled the Girls soccer team into the Third place match. The winner advances to the final spot to State Tournament held at Brothers Park in Caldwell. Vallivue vs Caldwell is this Saturday, Oct. 14 at Caldwell high school soccer field. Game time 1pm. Soccer field is located on campus between the football field and tennis courts. Come out and support you team.

Your Vallivue Girls Varsity team finished the season with a 9-4-1 Districts record with a 3rd place finish. This coming Monday,  October 9th @ 5pm. Our first game will be played at Vallivue vs. Ridgevue. 

Also the Vallivue Boys are playing the same day @ Vallivue in their first round game.

BIG NEWS!!!!  Combine Senior Night Game with Caldwell High School Girls Soccer team

First time ever, the Senior Night Girls soccer team will be played at Simplot stadium October 2nd. Students get in free with their ASB cards. Admmsion is $6 for all others. Canyon Optimist Soccer club players can attend for free if they wear their team jerseys. JV game at 4pm, Varsity at 5:30.

VHS Girls soccer teams sweep both games against a tough Ridgevue High. JV Girls continue to improve each week. Coach Sanchez says, "we really developing into a nice possession style play. We've improved a lot, but we need to continue to work hard in practice." Varsity(7-3) Traveled to play a tough Ridgevue team, they were up 1-0 at half. With some adjusts, your VHS girls soccer team started setting the pace of the pace for a com from behind victory 2-1. Visiting Caldwell Cougars, 3 games in 4 days, and game this Thursday(vs Middleton). Your Vallivue Falcons Varsity and JV fought back with double victories. JV 8-0 over Caldwell, Coach Sanchez says the team is building upon is victories, and the practice tempo is increasing, a lot of excitement on the pitch. Varsity with a 2-0 lead at half added another in 2nd half, to hold off a tough Caldwell team to a 3-1 Victory. Vallivue 5-2 w/l Conference record.
